I can log in remotely, but I don't see video

Remote access works but no image is shown? The cause is usually an unforwarded TCP port or a missing browser plug-in.

If you run the device on a public IP, you'll always need to set up port forwarding on the router. It is essential to forward all the device's communication ports — especially the often overlooked TCP port (typically 5000). If you don't forward this port, you'll be able to log in and configure the device, but you won't see live or recorded video. On some devices the live image may be available but recordings won't display.

Another cause may be a missing plug-in for displaying video in the web browser. We recommend installing the plug-in and then restarting the browser.
