FTP server storage setup

Guide to setting up storage of recordings from a security camera or NVR to an FTP server on motion detection.

How do I configure the device

For correct operation the device must be connected to the LAN (internet), have free space on the FTP server and have storage on motion detection enabled.

  • Sign in to the configuration interface and go to the relevant FTP setting.
  • Tick Enable FTP for server storage.
  • FTP server — fill in the IP address of your FTP server.
  • Port — fill in the FTP server port (typically 21).
  • Username and password — fill in FTP server credentials.
  • File upload — set the folder on the FTP server where photos will be stored.
  • Channel — select the channels you want to send to FTP.
  • Week and time slots — set when snapshots may be sent to FTP.

The TEST button verifies the connection to the FTP server. A text file confirming the test will be saved to the chosen FTP folder.
