Types of cable box
Cable boxes are either universal — suitable for most cameras — or designed for a specific camera model. The boxes are made of aluminium alloy, so they're suitable for outdoor use.
If you're mounting the security camera, for example, on a roof soffit where there's enough space to store the cabling, you don't need a cable box.
