Setting up a BitVision account and adding a device

BitVision is a cloud platform for managing PATRONUM cameras via mobile and PC. This guide walks you through account registration, adding a device by QR code, and starting remote monitoring.

Setting up a BitVision account and adding a device

BitVision is a platform for managing and monitoring security cameras and camera systems over the internet, allowing users to remotely access video, change settings and manage devices via computers and mobile devices. Setting up a BitVision account and adding a device is a relatively straightforward process.

A BitVision account lets you manage your PATRONUM camera systems (recorders and IP cameras) in one place. Using the iVMS320 app for computers (Windows and Mac) or the BitVision mobile app (iOS and Android), you can:

  • watch your camera system LIVE (2 stream qualities)
  • play back and download recordings
  • receive event notifications
  • save snapshots to your mobile device
  • back up recordings to your mobile device
  • perform basic device configuration
  • listen to audio and use two-way talk
  • and many other functions...

Setting up a BitVision account:

  • Go to the BitVision website: https://www.bitvision.app/home/account/register
  • Fill in the registration form:
  • User — your email address
  • Password — your password, at least 8 characters — letters and numbers
  • Click "Send verification code" — within 5 minutes a verification code will be sent to the address above; enter it in the field next to the button (the countdown is not a deadline for entering the code, but for re-sending the verification code)
  • Click the "Register" button

Adding a device to your BitVision account:

  1. !!! To add a device, the device must be correctly set up to communicate with the internet. If it is set up incorrectly (offline), adding will fail.
  2. Log in to your BitVision account (via the web interface or in the BitVision mobile app — we recommend mobile).
  3. Go to device management and tap the + in the bottom right corner of the screen
  4. Select "Add SN"
  5. Photograph the QR code on the device label or in the web interface (or enter the device SN manually)
  6. In the next step, enter a name for the device in the form (home, work...)
  7. Device username (linked to the user configured in the device — default: admin)
  8. Device password (linked to the user configured in the device — default: admin or 12345 or 123456)
  9. Authorization code (captcha) — found on the production label affixed to the device (also on the label on the product box), or in the device menu under the P2P tab. It serves as a physical security safeguard that allows the device to be added to the app. The code is usually 6 characters and consists of letters and numbers.
  10. Choose any group
  11. Click the "Add device" button.

The device will be added to your BitVision account and you will be able to manage it.

You can also use your BitVision account to log in to the iVMS320 PC application, which will automatically load all devices linked to your BitVision account.

Tips:

  • For maximum security of your BitVision account, use a strong password and enable two-factor authentication.
  • Regularly update the firmware of your BitVision devices.
  • An internet connection is required for remote access to your BitVision cameras.
